Art Centre

Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra Art Centre is situated in Alice Springs and has been established to provide a place for Aranda Artists to come together to paint, share and learn new techniques and ideas.

Established in 2003, the Art Centre is funded by the Ngurratjuta Aboriginal Corporation, to preserve the ‘Hermannsburg School of Art’.

We have many watercolours and traditional dot painters living in the Alice Springs area. Our aim is to create not only a place where artists can gather and socialize but also pass on cultural knowledge with an emphasis on encouraging young artists to explore their talent. We are very keen to establish a strong following of watercolour artists increasing interest for this medium in both artists and the discerning public.
